Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ServSafe or equivalent food-safety certification preferred.

• Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle currency and measurement for food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Cook with food preparation and pre-preparation.
• Assist with daily cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment to maintain sanitation.
• Set up and break down serving lines; operate food service and POS equipment.
• Address student questions with a sympathetic, confidential approach.
• Ensure compliance with USDA meal pattern requirements and production records.
