Responsibilities

• Learns to read menu to estimate food requirements and orders food from supplier or storage.
• Prepares and cooks food according to standardized recipes and production records.
• Adjusts ovens and equipment to regulate temperature as directed.
• Measures and mixes ingredients using appropriate utensils and equipment.
• Carves meat, portions food, and adds gravies or garnishes as directed.
• Maintains sanitation and safety in the kitchen and work area.
