Job summary

Crestline Exempted Village SD in Crestline, Ohio is hiring for a part-time Food Service 3hr Cook to support the school nutrition program by preparing and serving meals.

The role requires following recipes, safe food handling (HACCP), basic math for portions and payments, and strong teamwork with staff and students. On-site kitchen work with flexible hours based on the school calendar.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Experience in food service is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and written instructions.
• Basic math skills for portioning and handling transactions.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or assist with the preparation of meals in accordance with established menus, recipes, and production records.
• Set up and maintain serving lines; serve food items in a safe, timely, and friendly manner.
• Accurately collect and record payments for meals and a la carte items.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, serving areas, work surfaces, restrooms, and floors according to food safety guidelines and district policies.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, warmers, mixers, dishwashers, and slicers safely and correctly.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene practices, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) procedures.
• Receive, label, and store food and supplies following proper inventory rotation and storage protocols
