Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time, school-based role in Olympia, Washington, for the 2026-2027 school year. This position delivers direct nursing care in a school setting and collaborates with school staff to support student health.

You will administer medications, follow WAC guidelines, maintain documentation, and work with a care team to ensure student safety and participation in learning activities.

Qualifications

• Active Washington State LPN license in good standing
• Graduation from an approved practical nursing program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to perform nursing duties within the LPN scope of practice established by WAC 246-840-705

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in routine and stable clinical situations
• Administer medications and treatments per policy and regulation
• Implement nursing regimens as delegated by licensed providers
• Monitor student health and document changes for supervising staff
• Support complex care in rapidly changing clinical situations
• Maintain compliance with nursing standards and school procedures
• Collaborate with care teams including RNs, physicians, therapists, and teachers
• Maintain accurate nursing notes and treatment records
• Promote student health, safety, and participation in education
