Job summary

Bassett Unified School District is seeking a part-time school library clerk to operate the library, manage circulation, and support students and staff with digital learning materials.

Under the principal's direction, you will catalog books, process materials, and help with AR/RTI support while maintaining inventory and preparing displays. The role runs 9.5 months at 6 hours per day (Mon-Fri, 7:45 AM–2:15 PM).

Qualifications

• Two years of clerical experience involving public contact.
• Library experience in cataloging, materials processing, and reference work is desirable.
• High school graduation with college-level coursework in library science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school library and handle circulation, distribution, and recovery of materials.
• Assist in cataloging, processing, and auditing library resources using library barcodes.
• Plan library services and computer lab activities for classes and exams, ensuring access for all grade levels.
• Maintain records related to budget, purchases, inventory, and overdue materials.
• Prepare displays, exhibits, and bulletin boards; support AR and RTI program activities.
