Job summary

Chartwells K12 in West Deptford, NJ is hiring immediately for a part-time COOK. You will prepare food to standardized recipes, serve meals, and keep the kitchen clean and safe in a school setting. You will follow safety and sanitation procedures and assist in other kitchen tasks as needed.

Schedule is Monday–Friday with details provided at interview. Some cooking experience is required; you should follow HACCP standards and work well with cafeteria staff to deliver nutritious meals.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food according to standardized recipes to meet production and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery with correct portioning and temperatures.
• Maintains kitchen cleanliness and follows safe food-handling procedures.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed and assists in planning and records.
• Complies with HACCP standards and safety meetings; reports issues to supervisor.
