Job summary

Braxton County Schools in Braxton County, WV, is hiring a Half-Time Cook to support our school nutrition program. The role involves preparing meals, following menus, and assisting with inventory, while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards in a busy school kitchen.

Applicants must pass the state Cook test, obtain a Food Service Permit, and pass a background check. The position offers a 200-day contract with shifts from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm, reporting to the Building Principal and Nutrition

Qualifications

Applicants must be or have been classified in this category or must pass the state prescribed exam for this position per West Virginia Code §18A-4-8e.n See note above
Criminal background check per WV Code §18-5-15c
Maintains current County Board of Health Food Service Worker's Permit
The ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities of the position as contained in the Job Description
