The role supports the School Food Service Manager, follows weekly assignments, adapts to daily needs, and participates in cleanup, inventory, and meal service while maintaining cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand recipes.
• Meets required physical examination.
• Hours may change during year due to schedules and number of students participating.

Responsibilities

• Checks assignment sheets for weekly tasks and follows Manager's instructions.
• Prepares food according to planned menu and tested recipes.
• Assists in serving food quickly and pleasantly and replenishes supply as needed.
• Maintains high standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Participates in daily cleanup of kitchen and service areas.
• Stores or disposes of unused food properly and assists in storage of commodities.
• Assists in cleaning ovens, refrigerators, storerooms, or related tasks as directed by Manager.
• Works in the dish room as assigned, including scraping dishes or operating the dishwasher.
