Job summary

Franklin Township School District is seeking Substitute Food Service Workers for the 26-27 school year. This part-time, hourly role supports district-wide food services with a focus on safety and service for students and staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily food service operations, maintaining a clean, positive work environment, and collaborating with staff to ensure smooth meal service. Applicants must meet citizenship/work authorization requirements and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Familiar with Food Safety, Sanitation, and Meal Preparation/Service.
• Ability to maintain a positive work environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act.
• Criminal History Clearance required.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily assistance to aid in the smooth operation of food services for students and staff.
• Support the food service team to ensure meals are served safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with school staff to maintain a positive, respectful work environment.
