Qualifications

• Knowledge of high-volume institutional recipes and production methods.
• Understanding of and ability to properly operate kitchen equipment.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Must obtain Will County sanitation certificate within one year of employment.
• Ability to perform all duties and work with diverse people.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for junior high, elementary students, district faculty and contract accounts.
• Pack meals for transport and serve meals in school cafeteria.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in production and serving areas.
• Assist with cashier duties and proper accounting of meal categories.
• Clean dishes and equipment, sweep and mop as required.
