Waterloo Central School District is seeking a part-time Food Transporter/Food Service Helper for a 10-month position, delivering and assisting in the school kitchen. Tasks include loading and unloading food, ensuring proper temperatures, and serving meals in the cafeteria.

Ideal candidates will have prior food service experience, the ability to follow directions, and a NYS Driver’s License. The role is 4 hours per day, with pay at $17.00 per hour under the WNIEA contract.

Qualificações

• Preferred to have previous food service experience.
• The ability to follow directions is essential; physical condition commensurate with job demands.
• NYS Driver’s License is required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist kitchen staff before and after delivery time.
• Load and unload food containers.
• Assure that food is packaged and transported in a sanitary manner and maintained at proper temperatures.
• Maintain accurate time schedule for delivery and return.
• Check containers to verify sites receive correct food orders.
• Develop and maintain cooperative relations with food service staff.
• Assist in set up, serving and clean up at school site.
• Clean pans and food containers after meals are served.
• Serve food on cafeteria serving line.
• Help cooks in any phase of their duties.
• Wash dishes, pots and pans by hand or machine.
• Sweep, mop and clean kitchens.
• May act as cashier under supervision.
• Other duties as assigned by Food Service Director or designee.
