Job summary

Sparta R-III School District is accepting applications for a part-time food service employee. Hours are 7:30-1:30, totaling 6 hours per day.

This role supports the district’s food service program with meal preparation and service, ensuring nutritious meals are provided to students. Essential requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in large-scale food production (preferred), good physical condition, and a valid Missouri driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in Large Scale Food Production (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
• Replenish food supply offered during service periods.
• Assist in daily kitchen and service area cleanup.
• Perform major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms as scheduled by the supervisor.
• Store and dispose unused foods and related duties as required.
• Occasionally prepare and serve meals for special events.
• Stand/walk frequently; lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
