Job summary

Granite School District in Taylorsville, UT is seeking a Custodial Helper 1 to support students and staff by performing cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and basic building maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must know how to operate and maintain basic cleaning equipment.
• May perform minor adjustments to equipment.
• Must understand basic use of age appropriate cleaning solvents and their proper application.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to students, teachers, custodians and administrators.
• Performs routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and garbage removal.
• May assist in grounds care, building maintenance and moving of equipment.
• Help with building security by locking/unlocking doors and final lock-up after hours.
• Turn on/off security systems and ensure doors are secured.
• Work to maintain an 80% or higher VEKTR inspection.
