Job summary

Edison Elementary School is seeking a part-time custodian to maintain cleanliness and safe conditions across classrooms, hallways, and common areas within the Mesa Public Schools district.

The role requires 29 hours per week with a base rate of $17.12 per hour. Prior custodial equipment experience and cleaning procedures are preferred; a high school education or GED is preferred. Drug and alcohol testing may occur during probation.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge and experience of custodial equipment, supplies, and proper cleaning procedures.
• High School education or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties as required by district standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe school conditions daily.
• Operate custodial power equipment.
• Assist in moving equipment and furniture as required.
• Maintain regular and on-time attendance.
• Perform other related duties, as needed to ensure efficient operations.
• Assist with duties as appropriate to the Mesa Public Schools area.
