Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Prior custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to perform routine manual cleaning and light maintenance.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, stand and lift at least 75 pounds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Energetic, ethical and in good health.
• Bilingual is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Keep buildings and premises neat, clean and free from rubbish and weeds.
• Sweep and vacuum classrooms, dust furniture and clean sinks.
• Clean corridors after school and during the day as needed.
• Scrub and mop bathroom floors and disinfect toilets daily.
• Clean all drinking fountains and sanitary fixtures daily.
• Monitor and clean restrooms on a scheduled basis.
• Maintain windows inside and outside at least twice yearly.
• Remain on premises during school hours as requested.
• Move furniture and set up chairs/tables/desks as required for activities.
• Report hazards and needed repairs to head custodian.
