Job summary

Phoenixville Area School District is seeking a Custodian to perform general cleaning and maintenance across school buildings and grounds. The role supports students, teachers and staff, maintains equipment, and assists with deliveries and setup for events.

The position requires the ability to work in varied weather, follow safety rules, and lift and move equipment as needed. A high school diploma is expected, with prior custodial experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in building and cleaning maintenance desirable.
• State driver27s license or ability to provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Secure building at beginning and end of shift to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Clean rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices, stairways and other areas to standards.
• Sweep, mop, buff, strip and wax floors; clean rugs and blinds; wash walls and windows.
• Replace light bulbs; assist in setting up and breaking down furniture for events.
• Perform grounds-keeping tasks and snow/ice removal; deliver supplies to classrooms and other areas.
