Job summary

White Mountains SAU 35 is seeking a year-round part-time custodian to work evenings during the school year and daytime hours during school breaks and summer. Prior custodial experience is preferred and school-related experience is a plus.

Dependability, motivation, and good work ethics are desired traits. The role involves cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas to maintain a safe, clean school environment, with responsibilities for safety, records, and effective collaboration

Qualifications

• Prior custodial experience is preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• Submit a cover letter, resume, and three letters of reference.

Responsibilities

• Cleans the school (classrooms, offices, restrooms, lunch room, halls, etc.) to maintain a sanitary, safe environment.
• Removes graffiti after reporting to the Building Principal.
• Works with staff to keep the building conducive to instruction and morale.
• Oversees use and care of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Keeps records of preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintains records for alterations or repairs.
• Promotes good public relations between the school and community.
• Tends to custodial tasks as needed to address safety or health concerns.
