Job summary

South Shore Regional Vocational Technical High School in Hanover, MA seeks a part-time Custodian to join our maintenance team. The role supports after-school activities, assists with event setup/breakdown, and may include weekends for special events or weather-related tasks.

Applicants must be willing to become licensed as a Massachusetts School Bus Driver within six months of hire; training is provided and reimbursement for license maintenance is offered.

Qualifications

• Criminal background checks required by Massachusetts law.
• At least 2 years of relevant custodial experience preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the facility to the high standard of the School District.
• Assist staff, students and visitors during shift hours.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Overtime duties as needed.
• Snow removal duties and seasonal equipment operation.
• Transport students as needed.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer use for payroll and emailing/texting.
