Chesterfield Township Police Department is seeking a part-time Crossing Guard to assist elementary students crossing roads and streets near the school. This non-uniformed role aligns with the school year and reports to the Administrative Sergeant / Shift Supervisor.

The Crossing Guard will work three daily periods around school arrival, lunch, and departure, on post 30 minutes before and five minutes after start, and has no police powers beyond reporting safety concerns to the Dispatcher.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Transportation to and from the assigned crossing location.
• Must not have any criminal convictions.

Responsabilités

• Assist elementary-age children crossing roads at designated locations.
• On post 30 minutes before the tardy bell and remain 5 minutes after class start; three times daily.
• No police powers to stop or detain; contact Dispatcher for violations.
