Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of district training for school crossing guards is desirable.
• Ability to work cooperatively with building staff and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Stops oncoming traffic using a flag to permit students to cross safely and observes gaps to minimize disruption.
• Monitors students’ activities and behavior as they approach the crosswalk and stays alert for unsafe situations.
• Reports inappropriate student behavior and vehicles that fail to stop when signaled.
