Job summary

EDU-AIDs LLC in Chatfield, Minnesota is seeking a compassionate Certified School Counsellor for a part-time position. You will support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well-being within an inclusive learning environment.

The role involves collaboration with students, families, educators, and staff to promote student success and personal growth, with emphasis on crisis intervention, IEP/504 participation, and confidential record keeping. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid certification or licensure as a School Counsellor in the applicable state.
• Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group counseling services addressing academic, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
• Conduct assessments and identify students who may benefit from counseling interventions.
• Develop strategies to promote social-emotional learning, conflict resolution, and positive coping skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and child study teams to support student achievement and well-being.
• Assist with crisis intervention and provide referrals to community resources when necessary.
• Participate in IEP, 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings as required.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely student records in compliance with school policies.
• Monitor student progress and recommend appropriate interventions and support plans.
• Participate in professional development and training activities as required.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment for all students.
