• Maintain records of food use, inventory, and meal service.
• Store and label leftovers; handle food properly.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen and service areas before and after meals.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (ovens, mixers, dishwashers).
• Accommodate special dietary needs or allergies of students.
• Provide excellent customer service during meal times.
• Work with kitchen staff, teachers, and administrators.
• Guide or support kitchen aides or new staff as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students and staff regarding meal service.
