Job summary

Chartwells K-12 in East Orange, NJ is hiring for a part-time Food Service Utility to maintain clean kitchen areas and support daily operations. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, at East Orange School District.

Prior cleaning and service experience is required; lifting up to 50 lbs may be necessary. This positions involves food service tasks and adherence to safety standards in an educational facility.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with cleaning, service, and detail-oriented work is required.
• Position may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Part-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and places it into designated containers; hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet table and front of the house setup.
• Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
