Job summary

Chartwells K-12, part of Compass Group USA, is hiring a part-time Food Service Worker in Wakefield, RI. Schedule runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with no weekends or holidays expected.

Training is provided and prior food experience is preferred. The role involves preparing and serving food, following safety standards, stocking supplies, and helping maintain a clean, friendly dining environment for students.

Qualifications

• Prior food experience preferred.
• Part-time schedules; Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
• Will train; no weekends or holidays; paid holidays and sick time.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work: washing, peeling, cutting, seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays safely between areas.
• Stores food with proper dating and rotation.
• Cleans work areas and utensils.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards for quality and portions.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with service standards and cash control procedures.
• Assures sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
