Job summary

Central York School District is seeking a part-time Cook/Cashier at Central York High School to support breakfast and lunch services. Therole involves food preparation, cashiering, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment for students and staff.

The position is 4.75 hours per day, 187 days per year, with on-site duties in York, PA. Previous food service and customer service experience are preferred, along with required background clearances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of nutrition, sanitation and food safety preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Cooking experience preferred.
• General computer knowledge preferred.
• Ability to be highly organized and have good communication skills.
• Must obtain PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse, and FBI background clearances within past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to established procedures and guidance from Head Cook.
• Assist in estimating quantities of food for students and staff.
• Assist in serving meals to students and staff.
• Participate in kitchen cleanup and maintenance of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Interact with students and staff in a courteous manner.
• Support continuous improvement of the school lunch program.
