Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older with HS diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with P and S endorsements.
• Meet vision/hearing requirements and passing background/drug checks.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the bus.
• Keep mirrors clean and adjusted.
• Conduct annual bus evacuation drills.
• Obey road signs and signals.
• Maintain interior cleanliness and bus discipline.
• Maintain routes and schedules as planned.
• Report hazards on the route to school officials.
• Drive defensively with good judgment.
• Complete reports on discipline and maintenance.
• Stay alert to hazards and railroad crossings.
• Do not permit students to stand in unsafe areas.
• Agree to mandatory and random drug tests.
