Job summary

The Elma School District is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a 3.5 hour Bus Driver for the East County Transportation Co-Op. This temporary role covers a leave of absence and requires a valid Washington CDL with Passenger endorsement and First Aid/CPR certification.

Work Mon–Fri, 3.5 hours per day, with wages per the EESP 2025-2026 Salary Schedule. The district supports sick leave accrual and Washington Paid Family Medical Leave, and emphasizes safety and student well-being in all

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License with Passenger endorsement.
• Valid First Aid/CPR Certification.
• WSP/FBI background clearance (employee-paid).

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus on scheduled routes and trips.
• Maintain student safety and report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Complete forms and records accurately as required.
• Attend and complete required driver training programs.
