Job summary

First Student, Inc. is hiring a Part-Time School Bus Driver in Ville Platte, LA. You will handle pre-trip and post-trip inspections and help students board and exit the bus, with a split shift and a guaranteed 4-hour daily commitment.

No prior bus driving experience is required, as we provide CDL training and industry-leading technology to support safe routes and on-time transportation for students.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license for a minimum of three years.
• Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test and physical examination.
• DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana.

Responsibilities

• Join our team of professional drivers dedicated to getting students to and from school safely.
• Utilize industry-leading technology to assist with daily routes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus to promote a safe and welcoming environment.
