Job summary

First Student is hiring a part-time School Bus Driver in Ville Platte, LA. You will handle pre/post-trip duties, transport students to and from school, and provide a safe, welcoming experience for riders.

No prior bus driving experience is required and training with CDL support is provided. A split shift with a guaranteed 4-hour school day is offered, with potential for additional hours on trips and charters.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test and physical.
• Strong verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus to promote safety.
• Drive routes to and from school, ensuring on-time arrival and safety.
