Job summary

NRT Bus, Inc. in North Reading, MA is hiring a part-time School Bus Driver to transport students to school and events on local routes.

A paid CDL training program is offered if needed, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a starting pay of $30.39–$36.05 per hour, plus $20/hour for paid training and $27/hour for charter/activity trips. Shifts are split AM/PM on weekdays with no nights, weekends, or holidays, and weekly pay with guaranteed minimum hours.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B (or higher) with P & S endorsements; training available.
• Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Safe driving record with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Age 21+ and able to pass background check & drug screening.
• Effective English communication (spoken & written).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events.
• Drive assigned local routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle.
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff.
• Follow state/local traffic laws and school district policies.
