Job summary

LeafSpring School at Ballantyne is seeking a Part-Time School Bus Driver to transport children safely to and from campus and activities. You will be a dependable, caring team member, ensuring a warm, professional experience for every child and complying with safety and licensing requirements.

We offer a flexible part-time schedule with no late evenings or weekend shifts, meals provided daily, and a collaborative, child-first culture.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License is required
• Clean and satisfactory driving record
• Minimum age 21 years old
• Experience driving a school bus or similar vehicle preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
• Ability to communicate with children, families, and staff

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children to and from school, field trips, and activities
• Follow state, local, and company safety regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Ensure children are properly seated and supervised
• Complete transportation and attendance documentation
• Maintain accurate passenger counts and loading/unloading procedures
• Communicate professionally with teachers, administrators, families, and children
• Keep bus environment clean and organized
• Report vehicle concerns and safety issues immediately
• Assist with loading/unloading children
• Follow established routes, schedules, and procedures
• Provide a calm, positive experience for children on the bus
• Maintain confidentiality regarding children and families
• Assist with other transportation duties as assigned
