First Student is hiring a part-time Non-CDL School Bus Driver in North Kingstown, RI. You will start and end the school day with safe student transport, with opportunities for field trips and events.

No prior experience required, as comprehensive training is provided to become a safe, professional driver. The role offers a flexible AM/PM schedule with guaranteed hours and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, and various bonuses.

Qualifications

• No experience needed; expert training provided.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Part-time schedule with summers off.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding/unboarding; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of brakes, lights, tires, and exits.
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or behavior.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service on every route.
• Bus routes serve North Kingstown and Jamestown areas.
