Job summary

Sidney City School District is seeking a Flex Bus Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for students in Sidney, Ohio. This part-time role runs 3.5 hours per day and requires a valid CDL with a school bus endorsement and a current bus driver’s certificate. Starting date is immediate.

The driver reports to the Transportation Supervisor and must meet health, background, and training requirements while maintaining courteous, professional conduct with students and families.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold CDL with school bus endorsement and bus driver’s certificate.
• Pre-service and ongoing in-service training required.
• Subject to medical, background, and drug-testing checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate the bus following laws and schedules, prioritizing safety.
• Transport only authorized passengers and monitor student behavior.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and report issues.
• Record routes, times, and passenger lists for state reports.
• Assist students with disabilities and supervise on the bus.
