FIRST STUDENT MANAGEMENT LLC in Niantic, CT is hiring part-time School Bus Drivers to start mornings and afternoons, with potential field trips. Sign-on bonus $3,000; pay $22.00 per hour, plus training hourly rate $16.94. No nights or summers required; flexible split shifts.

You'll ensure safe student transportation, conduct pre-trip inspections, report issues, and communicate with parents and school staff. Training is provided to help you become a safe, professional driver.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical issues and keep the bus clean.
• Obey traffic laws and safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or behavior.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
