First Student, Inc. in Wayland, MA is seeking a Part Time School Bus Driver to start the day with morning pickup and return students home in the afternoon, with field trips possible.

No prior experience is required as we provide training; drivers are supported with safety guidance, scheduling options, and opportunities for advancement across locations.

This role emphasizes reliability, student safety, and community impact, with a flexible AM/PM schedule and a minimum paid hours guarantee.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Part-time schedule with summers off is available.
• Enjoy working with students.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or behavior.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
