Job summary

First Student is hiring a Part Time School Bus Driver in Gladstone, OR. You will start mornings with student pickups and transport them home after school, with potential hours for field trips and events. Training is provided for new drivers to become safe and professional.

Qualifications

Must be able to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff.
Demonstrates safety-conscious approach to driving and student supervision.
Good time management and reliability.

Responsibilities

Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
Supervise boarding and unloading; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
Maintain order on the bus and ensure student safety during rides.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Report any mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean.
Follow traffic laws and company safety standards.
Communicate with parents, school staff and dispatch about delays or concerns.
Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
