Job summary

First Student is hiring Part Time School Bus Drivers in White City, OR. No experience is necessary; we provide expert training to help you become a safe and professional driver. Expect flexible, split-shift schedules across AM/PM routes, with opportunities for field trips and events.

Pay is performance-based with an hourly range of roughly $24.28 to $25.73, plus benefits and a 401(k) plan. This role supports student transportation across multiple locations and emphasizes safety and community

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Part-time availability with summers off is offered.
• Enjoy working with students.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or student behavior.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
