Job summary

Brook Hill School is seeking a part-time driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for students and staff to and from school-sponsored activities. Schedule is as-needed with no guaranteed hours and hourly pay, best suited for individuals with flexible daytime availability who value safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities include transporting to destinations, conducting vehicle inspections, and maintaining order and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years old.
• CDL Class B or C with Passenger (P) endorsement.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug/alcohol screenings.
• Clean driving record (no recent violations, no DUI).
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Prior experience operating 20- or 40-passenger buses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate school-owned buses or vehicles to transport students, faculty, and staff to destinations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow all laws and Brook Hill transportation policies and procedures.
• Maintain order and ensure student safety while in transit.
• Communicate professionally with sponsors, staff, and students to ensure timely travel.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report damage or incidents to the Director of Transportation.
