Job summary

First Student, Inc. in Granite City, IL is hiring a Part Time School Bus Driver. You will transport students to and from school and activities with safe, reliable service, and enjoy a flexible AM/PM split schedule.

No experience is necessary; we provide expert training and guidance. Applicants must reside in Illinois or hold a CDL Class B with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements; Missouri residents are not eligible through this location.

Qualifications

• Must reside in Illinois or already possess a valid CDL Class B with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements to be eligible.
• 21 years old or older; Illinois driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
