Job summary

First Student in Vermont is hiring Part Time School Bus Drivers to transport students safely to and from Harwood Unified Union School District in Moretown. As a driver, you’ll start mornings with pickups and return after school, with opportunities for field trips.

No experience is required; comprehensive training is provided to ensure you become a safe, professional driver. We offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus, paid training, and benefits options including medical, dental, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• No experience is necessary; expert training and guidance provided to become a safe, professional First Student driver.
• Exemplary customer service and leadership skills are valued for interacting with students and families.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus and conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or behavior.
