Job summary

DATTCO is hiring a School Bus Aide in Pawtucket, RI. This part-time role offers an hourly rate of $19 with a split shift schedule (AM & PM) and a minimum 20 hours per week, serving students across local districts.

Responsibilities include assisting with crossings, helping students board and exit, conducting safety checks, and enforcing bus safety rules to ensure a secure ride for all children.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must complete pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug testing.
• Experience working with students or in a classroom is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with street crossings at every stop.
• Help students entering and exiting the bus.
• Check under and behind tires before re-boarding.
• Support students according to each transportation plan.
• Enforce safety rules and keep students seated.
• Assist in evacuations during emergencies.
• Follow route directions and aid driver as needed.
