Job summary

PSG/CIP is seeking a part-time School-Based Therapist to serve students in West Allis/West Milwaukee and surrounding areas. The role involves delivering individual and group therapy, consulting with school personnel, and coordinating with families and other providers.

Candidates should hold a master's degree in a relevant field and Wisconsin licensure (LPC or LCSW). A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Hours are flexible within the school day.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in clinical mental health, social work, psychology or related field and licensure to provide mental health therapy in Wisconsin (LPC or LCSW).
• Experience in school-based mental health services preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assess the therapeutic needs of clients and complete formal assessments.
• Create and review client treatment plans and provide psychotherapy in accordance with the treatment plans.
• Intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
• Address family systems, mental health, parenting, and alcohol/drug issues through individual, family, or group counseling.
• Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities.
• Provide consultation to the child's school and school personnel as needed.
• Coordinate services and maintain communication with all service providers involved with the clients.
