Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of special education due process procedures.
• Experience with third party billing in schools.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate and identify communication disorders; participate in eligibility decisions; support evaluation plans and reports.
• Serve as case manager; develop IEPs; facilitate IEP meetings; inform guardians of rights; share progress reports.
• Maintain confidentiality per FERPA.
• Provide direct instruction to remediate communication disorders and support IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate speech goals.
• Provide supervision to paraprofessionals implementing IEP goals.
• Maintain data to monitor progress.
• Advocate for needs of children with communication disorders.
• Stay current with state rules and best practices in special education.
• Collaborate with IEP case managers and related service providers.
• Know technology strategies/equipment for students; assist teachers when needed.
• Inquire and bill third parties when parents consent for district billing.
• Collaborate with outside agencies providing services.
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and administration.
• Other related duties as assigned.
