Nexus Family Healing is hiring a part-time Speech and Language Pathologist to join our Safe Harbor School in Manteno, IL. The role involves providing a tailored treatment program for students with speech, language, and swallowing needs within a private school setting.

The position requires a Masters in SLP, an active Illinois license, and ability to pass background checks. Pre-scheduled and on-call hours are available, with a pay range of $45–$50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Masters in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Sciences and Disorders.
• Must possess an active Illinois SLP license.
• Must successfully pass an IL DCFS criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, or swallowing abilities and determine goals.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Teach clients how to produce sounds, improve voice, and enhance fluency.
• Support vocabulary and sentence structure development.
• Address swallowing safety and muscular strength for swallowing.

Active Illinois SLP license

CCC-SLP and ASHA certification
