Job summary

LEARN Academy is hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for a one-to-one and half-day position in Henderson, NV, serving students in a school setting. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and deliver evidence-based interventions to promote communication growth.

You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop treatment plans aligned with IEP goals, and monitor progress. The role includes mentoring support staff and providing trainings to instructional staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Maintain license per ASHA requirements.
• Current NV licensure or willing to obtain.
• Current NV DOE certification or willing to obtain.
• Current negative TB test (within last 4 years) or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ communication abilities including articulation, fluency, voice, and language.
• Develop and implement speech-language therapy plans aligned with IEP goals and educational needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate strategies into the curriculum and provide consultative services.
• Contribute to IEP processes with progress insights and appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development to stay current with best practices.
• Provide expertise in assistive technology and communication strategies to support student access.
• Coordinate with the special education team to ensure alignment with the least restrictive environment (LRE).
• Mentor or supervise assistants or students in the SLP community and provide trainings.
