Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to support a high school student in a one-on-one role near Wheaton, IL. The on-site position runs two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm, providing specialized medical support in a school setting.

The assignment begins August 24, 2026 and extends through June 28, 2027. Responsibilities include managing tracheostomy care, ventilator support, catheterization, and collaboration with staff and parents to ensure

Qualifications

Active IL RN license
School setting nursing experience
Hands-on tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and urinary catheterization
Ability to lift to assist with student care as needed
Critical care background preferred
Committment to compassionate, reliable care in a school environment
LPNs not eligible for this position

Responsibilities

Provide direct, individualized nursing care to a high school male student with complex health needs
Monitor and manage trach and ventilator, administer urinary catheterization, and respond promptly to any changes in condition
Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure safety, advocacy, and clear communication
Maintain healthcare documentation and comply with school policies
Offer encouragement and contribute to a positive educational experience for the student
