Job summary
Lorain County Public Health in Ohio seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to serve as a Public Health Nurse in a school setting during the academic year. The RN will support student health and wellness under the School Nurse Supervisor and provide nursing services within professional practice.

Qualifications
- Current RN license in Ohio is required.
- Valid Ohio driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Up-to-date vaccinations for healthcare providers or in process of completion.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate school health services for staff and students with interdisciplinary team.
- Develop care plans for students with chronic disease or special needs, in collaboration with physicians and parents.
- Ensure immunization compliance and reporting.
- Perform screenings and referrals and assist families with services and resources.
- Delegate and train unlicensed school personnel.
- Collect school health data for evaluation and planning; identify health issues to address.
- Promote wellness initiatives to improve health and school performance.
