Job summary

LEARN Academy is seeking a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support students in a school-based setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to implement therapy plans and monitor progress toward IEP goals.

Responsibilities include direct therapy, collaboration with teachers, adapting activities, documenting progress, and participating in team meetings to ensure high-quality services for students with special needs.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Maintain AZ COTA license requirements.
• Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint card.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving functional abilities such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
• Collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate occupational therapy strategies into the educational curriculum.
• Assisting in the adaptation of learning environments and materials to enhance student participation and independence.
• Contributing to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and recommending appropriate interventions.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Participating in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school-based occupational therapy.
