Job summary

LEARN Academy is seeking a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a school-based setting. You will deliver direct therapy to students and collaborate with teachers to integrate OT techniques into the educational program.

Responsibilities include evaluating student needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring progress toward IEP goals, with thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) from an accredited program.
• Maintain AZ COTA license requirements.
• Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint card.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving functional abilities (e.g., fine motor, sensory processing, activities of daily living).
• Collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate OT strategies into the curriculum.
• Assisting in adapting learning environments and materials to enhance participation and independence.
• Contributing to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and interventions.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Participating in meetings and professional development to stay current with school-based OT practices.
