Ampersand Therapy is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time assignment at Olympia, WA, offering 20 hours per week. Start ASAP through June 2027.

The role involves providing compassionate nursing care under supervision, with a focus on safe, individualized patient care in school settings. Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, and collaborating with RNs, providers, and support staff.

Qualifications

• Active Washington State LPN license in good standing.
• Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to work 20 hours per week through June 10, 2027.
• Experience in schools, clinics, long-term care, home health, or hospitals preferred.
• Familiarity with Washington State Board of Nursing guidance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under the direction and supervision of an RN or licensed provider.
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments within the LPN scope of practice.
• Implement assigned components of individualized nursing care plans.
• Monitor health status, document care, and promptly report changes to supervising clinicians.
• Assist RNs with more complex care needs as appropriate.
• Follow infection control procedures, professional standards, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and protect confidential health information.
